Venue : Amberley Industrial Museum
Location : Amberley, Sussex
Date : June 29th

_____The fifth Amberley Teslathon (generously hosted by Amberley Industrial Museum) promises to be the best yet. The museum have recently installed a new 200kVA pole pig and re-cabled the feed especially for us... As well as the usual running area upstairs we will have a coil running in the enclosure downstairs and plenty of headroom outside for the bigger coils, with the usual 100A 240V feed and 5 point purpose built heavy duty grounding grid available for them. There is a very pleasant pub around the corner from the museum for lunch, and the whole thing makes for a nice day out in the country, even without the huge sparks.

_____Those bringing coils please register by the 14th of June to keep numbers under control and make sure we have enough space. Email (nick@fieldfamily.uk.com) to reserve your space. For those staying over there are a couple of B&B's locally, or some bunkhouse style accomodation on the museum site itself. Let me know if you will need overnight accomodation on site. Two local B&Bs are : Woodybanks (01798 831295) and Amberley House (01798 839507).

_____As usual we only have vehicular access to our end of the site when the museum isn't too crowded with visitors, roughly from 8:30-10:30 am, and then from 4:30pm onwards. Access to the museum by road and rail is good. The railway station is about 50 metres from the museum, and trains stop every hour. The museum is well signed from the major roads. If you're driving your car onto the site then you drive straight past the main museum entrance and pull up in front of the large metal gates about 800m further down the road. If the gates are closed use the phone next to them.

_____To give you an idea what to expect a short video of last year's event is available for download - amberley2002.rm
